Celebrate Earth Day 2020 with us!
The Perfectly Flawed Earth Day Community clean up was our first event back in 2017 with the goal to empower others to make a difference in their community.
Fear not, COVID-19 won’t prevent us from making change and “the show must go on!” We’ve made some exciting adjustments to our previously scheduled event and hope you can join us in some of the fun things we have planned during the week of Earth Day 2020 via Facebook Live! Check it out!

Join us as we talk with the folks at Living Lands and Waters. Headquartered in East Moline, Illinois, Living Lands & Waters was established by “CNN Hero of the Year”, Chad Pregracke, in 1998. Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world. Spending up to nine months a year living and traveling on the barge, the Living Lands & Waters crew hosts river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, tree plantings and other key conservation efforts. We will hear from educational facilitator and crew member, Mike Coyne-Logan, about things we can do to make change in the environment in our worlds!

"Get Inspired with Mr. Paul Ritter"

Mr. Ritter is a Biology, Ecology, and Earth Science teacher at Pontiac Township High School whose pioneering and engaging approaches to environmental education have led to numerous awards including the 2014 White House Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators (PIAEE) and the 2012 National Environmental Science Teacher of the Year award. His International Prescription Pill and Drug Disposal Program (P2D2) was named the number one environmental program in the nation by the United Nations in 2012 for leading his own students to properly dispose of over 1 million lbs. of pharmaceuticals. Some of his recent projects include Operation Endangered Species classroom initiative to revive the alligator snapping turtle. Mr. Ritter’s joint projects combine the efforts of his students with other classes, communities, businesses, and state governments to make large-scale impact. Be prepared to be inspired!
